TP 10. BULLETBALL

In sports, fierce competition exists, not only between the players but also, even more intensely between the fans. Worldwide, soccer has to be the most dangerous game for their spectators. In 1964, in Peru, 328 people were crushed to death in a mass exodus after police dispersed tear gas into the crowds following a bad call. Three incidents hovered around 100 dead, and 15 different occasions took out between 20 and 80 bystanders. Not one to be left in the back of the pack, Basketball has stepped up to the free throw line and began to incorporate crowd shooting for championship games. In Milwaukee in 2022, 3 Milwaukee Bucs fans were shot just outside the venue, and within 2 hours, another 17 more became target practice a few blocks away. Recently, in Denver, after winning the final game, 10 nuggers: fans of the Denver Nuggets, became lead magnets in a crowd shooting. It seems that sore losers are now standard equipment at professional sports venues. A continuation of this type of behavior may spill over into amateur games, and then it will be a contest of body counts to establish supremacy. Little league baseball will have outbreaks of vehicular homicides in the parking lots after games brought on by a questionable balk. Soon to come will be the 4- to 7-year-old Tee Ball games that are intensely participated by their parents. Expect an incident where a 6-year-old was called out, and his chemical engineer father disagreed fervently. The exact number of dead victims in the resulting napalm inferno has yet to be determined. Humanity has progressed from the Roman days of installing Gladiators fighting to the death within giant stone structures to viewing Gladiators meeting their demise outside their own coliseums.

It’s all about the score🏀
