TP 18. JACKPACKS

Definition of a backpack: a bag with shoulder straps that allow it to be carried on one’s back. Jacked: informal, North American verb that is a past tense of steal or rob (not to be confused with Jack’d, which is an internet site for gay men chats). Jackpack: an imaginary backpack that carries all the non-working, organic components of that individual. As life matures, the individual systems of the Homo Sapien, such as muscular/skeleton, digestive, neural, vascular, reproductive, endocrine, respiratory, and urinary begin to malfunction at different times and in varying degrees of failure. As these multi-component organizations reach old age, the list of normal human movements and processes gets robbed, and the individual loses those functions. Can’t run anymore? Throw your mobility in the Jackpack. Trouble with facts and dates? Throw your memory in the Jackpack. Chest pain? Throw your ticker in the Jackpack. Can’t breathe (a.k.a. the George Floyd)? Put your lungs in the Jackpack. Peeing or shitting in your pants? Toss your diaper in the Jackpack. Unable to get it up? Throw your libido into the Jackpack. On our way to the grave, most religions want you intact so you can be reincarnated whole again. The Jackpack allows you to carry your stolen functions on your back for reprocessing and rebuilding when the time arrives. Jackpacks come in 2 colors: camouflage, for those who don’t complain, and Hi-Vis yellow for hypochondriacs.
