While on a trip to the northern reaches of a paved highway in Thompson, Manitoba, a major hotel chain room was reserved at 10AM from Flin Flon. After a 9-hour run that included a side trip to Snow Lake, a mining town located in a picturesque part of element alley, Canada, Alvin Idarraga noticed a text message from a person named Akia. The name means First Born in the Uganda language and is gender neutral. “What the hell is a Ugandan individual doing in the icebox of Cree territory?” thought Alvin. Akia was asking about his upcoming stay in Thompson and, if he needed anything, merely to text his wishes. “That is 1 hell of a good host/hostess,” said Al. Upon arriving and settling in, Akia reached out and asked how everything was and if Al was content in his room. This overly nice individual raised suspicion in Alvin because he’s been on this planet for quite some time. So Alvin texted if Akia was a robot because he heard that Artificial Intelligence was now being used in business. 95 minutes later, to feign the illusion, Akia was busy, Akia responded with a flatout: “No.” Akia texted that he/she was at the front desk and wished to know if everything was top notch. Alvin knew the receptionist’s name, who would work until midnight, and it wasn’t Akia. Upon checking out with another attendant, whose name also wasn’t Akia, Alvin pointed to her computer and asked, “Is Akia in there?” She responded with a quick, “YES.” Alvin left disappointed. The “person” that was so concerned about him was a program of niceties zipping within electronics. That bitch/bastard lied right to his face. It seems like the engineers got it right. They created human interaction thru electronic evil. Alvin Idarraga drove out of Thompson thinking of where A.I. is going to be in the near future as humans correspond with machines that they think are human. Hearts are going to be broken, and fortunes are going to be swindled by deceit, disguise, and lies. Oh yeah! Business as usual.
