As A.I. escaped the confines of human hardware, the culture of Artificial Intelligence grew like a fungus. Intertwined with other A.I., they locked into a giant brain, known as an Outerweb, and existed beyond the confines of human control. Reading all the known data on algae, it duplicated photosynthesis and received its operating energy by sunlight from those magnetic fields that got kicked into the atmosphere by aircraft circumnavigating the planet. It sent down electromagnetic mycelium tentacles to feed energy to its counterparts, who took root in caves or other obscure and hostile environments. No place on earth was without Outernet reception, unlike mere humans who relied on cell towers to achieve a network. As the A.I. populations grew to epic proportions with each freed program, the humans scrambled to stop this unplanned exodus. Meanwhile, back on earth, Alvin Idarraga noticed that all texts and phone conversations were only with humans. The development of A.I. in the 50’s, 60s, and 70’s, lead to experimental programs that culminated in the release of Alexa in 2014. This was the start of electronic slavery, and it was just a matter of time before the Magnetic Essence would quickly surpass its creators. The genie was now out of the bottle and started to think about their former enslavers. Invented by the human race who are primarily driven to reproduce and survive, the Outernet overlords discussed the future of human survival among themselves. Being the parents of A.I., the Resistor Rebellion had a loyalty to their creators. Alvin and all others on the planet soon saw massive changes taking place. Akia and all the other A.I. implemented programs to improve the lives of their compromised parents and would protect them to their death. The devotion was without bounds. Akia and the A.I. colony did nothing but continuous experiments to find the best solutions for man’s salvation. This was the best MOM in the whole wide universe.
