TP. 87 INTERWORM

TP. 87 INTERWORM There exists certain individuals in all past histories that became famous icons, heroes, saints or villains by their unique deeds and some major embellishments by writers who wish to make 2 people famous: the protagonist and themselves. America has many famous people who walked into the history books by timing and tenacity. Daniel Boone (DB.) is just such a character who started his epic adventures on 11/2/1734 in Berks County Pennsylvania. He continued his saga even after his death in 1820 at the very ripe old age of 85, due in part by fiction. Pretty damn good for a frontiersman/trapper living in a dangerous environment as new settlers of a “discovered country” infringed on Native American lands. Wars popped up constantly between the European Imperialists, the Revolutionaries and the Indigenous People, as settlers looked to find homesteads away from the
trouble and were lead by guides such as DB. into new lands already occupied. Kidnapping, sieges and murders were a direct result and all people lost some loved ones. So in order to honor this practice of hostile takeover, Kentucky saw fit to exhume their “Founding Father,” Daniel Boone out of a poorly marked grave in Missouri. They may have inadvertently dug up the wrong “Boone” and placed him into a prestigious grave site in Frankfort, Kentucky. The driving force in all this commotion is the human ego, as a common man who did what he had to do was honored by narcissistic writers who made him greater than he really was and politicians who saw their own importance in relocating him elsewhere for tourism. Daniel Boone joins the ranks of other celebrities who have multiple grave sites such as Sitting Bull and Sacagewea. The Internet is awash with constant misinformation that promotes some
lackluster venue that needs more profits. Only the earthworms and their offspring who consumed their remains and the knowledge they possed, knows the real truth. The INTERWORM: a source of all honesty.
