America got a late wake up call on July 13 at 5:11 CDT when an attempted assassination tried to end Mr. Trump’s life. The assassin just missed by an earring. The failure of the Secret Service to neutralize the perpetrator prior to his getting off 8 shots was dissected by every media outlet capable of slinging misinformation as fast as the assassin’s assault rifle could fire. The problem arose because of complacency, a stock human fault. Going from venue to venue with these rallies, week after week, town after town is a marketing ploy to keep the working class fed with undeliverable bullshit that all politicians incorporate into their platforms. Every few days, the Secret Service snipers have to carry their sandbags and rifles up to some vantage highpoint. They then sit through the same old song and dance rhetoric spewed through a PA system that was designed to auction off hogs at some rural location in forgotten farmlands. The vast number of attendees at these low attendance rallies are only there in hopes of getting their 15 minutes of fame by showing up on the 6 o’clock news. No one really cares until some nutcase decides to silence the empty drivel. If you want to save taxpayers’ money and the lives of civil servants who are willing to put their flesh between a perceived shaman and a high energy bullet, get rid of rallies. Televise these pathetic attempts to win a few voters at bullet proof studios and sell ice cream and cream puffs at the door for election donations. How stupid are we? Well, it does make for great publicity if the victims live and even greater notoriety if the target is killed. INFAMY.
