With the introduction of money, shopping came on the scene, just like an ICBM exiting its silo. It moved slow at first, but gaining speed rapidly after it clears the launching pad. With local areas using their own money and then surrounding areas using a different type of currency, economists were created to calculate the rate of exchange to ensure a higher value amongst the more prosperous communities. Poor countries stayed poor because their money was worth less. So….. a clever set of economists invented a concept that still motivates shoppers throughout the world today. It’s called: a sale. Now, people go apeshit at certain times of the year when the prices are reduced on goods to increase the flow of trade. Christmas was invented to spur this increase and the old bazaars of Persia and early Europe saw people duking it out in the streets to get the coveted items into their possession. It started the late November shopping spree and was known as Black and Blue Friday. That explained the contusions that appeared after a day at the “maul.” Do you see how the ritual of shopping started a cascade of new words and careers that kept the growing population employed and motivated. It also ramped up slavery because if items were too expensive, they didn’t sell and the term “recession” was “coined.” A cesspool is a collection point of human waste and a recession was moving the economy back into a shitty situation where no one was constructing capital (making money). Not good. Out of this came: banks, loans, and usury tactics that allowed poor people to buy items only to have them repossessed after a short period of time. If you look at any word in the modified Capitalistic English language, you can trace it’s origin back to the 4 letter word called: SHOP. That word gives the entire world population a purpose for being here. It creates an excuse to travel to exotic locations to buy other people’s crap that you really don’t need at all.
