TP. 69 A SEPTIC ECONOMY

To those who are not familiar with a septic system, it is a plumbing design that takes human excrement and separates the solids from the liquids in a tank, usually underground to soften the visual impact. Inside the tank are baffles that corral the brown cows to 1 side of the tank and allow the yellow fluids to accumulate in the other compartment. Once the liquids build to a certain height, it flows to a leach field where bacteria in the soil removes the organic nasties and pure (???) water drops into the surrounding soil. These systems come in 2 flavors: conventional and mound. Mound systems differ by having a hill made of sand that is placed over soil that has poor drainage and requires a separate pumping tank to lift the effluent. Now, you have a basic knowledge of the mechanics of waste transformation. Let’s explore the politics of the operations. 1. A permit must be obtained from the local government that requires a fee and a licensed contractor (more fees). 2. A perk test (fee) is required to determine whether a conventional, mound, or holding tank is required. 3. The system is installed by a contractor for tens of thousands of dollars (big fee) that use materials that cost him a few thousand, including the tanks, which are nothing more than a burial vault with a baffle. 4. The system must be pumped out by law in a specified period of time that amazingly becomes more frequent. These pumping firms transport the contents to a local wastewater plant or just dump it on a local farmer’s field. In theory, a properly installed system would never require pumping; but the lawmakers require it to generate jobs and fees. Solution: To hell with college. Organize a sewage company and never have any financial concerns. With an income of 6+ figures and price fixing tactics that prevent competition, sit back and enjoy the fruits of your shitty business. It’s just used food that was digested a few days ago. Hmm? Humans are septic systems.

    1. It depends on the orientation of the geriatric’s gastric exit. If they are standing up, then yes, their socks are a leach field. If laying down, then their underwear is the mound system collector. But if they are inverted, then they are shitheads and encounters should be avoided at all costs.
